Mohammed, 21, Kuwait. I play videogames regularly, I watch movies casually and I drink coffee constantly. To extend upon this, my favorite game of all time is Super Metroid, my favorite movie is 2001: A Space Odyssey (directed by Stanley Kubrick) and my favorite type of coffee is Nescafe. When I'm bored of life and games I'm usually reading in my bed, sipping through my own cup of misery. I work in a very dull environment surrounded by some very dangerous equipments that could blow the country to pieces. I dream of creating an 8-bit game with some interesting gameplay mechanics in which I already planned. But that's not gonna happen. That's why it's called a dream.

Things

  • Fallout 3 Collector’s Edition: I spent approximately 9 hours and I’m liking it a bit with each play. It got a lot of Oblivion’s problems, but then again there is no such thing as a perfect game, so less complaining and more enjoying the game.
  • The Witcher: I’m at Chapter 1 and holy mother of crap, this is awesome. Seriously, every PC gamer who doesn’t buy this game should shoot himself in the head as well. This is the best PC-exclusive title since a very freaking long time.
  • Fable Lost Chapters: After finishing Fable 2 I couldn’t resist buying the original game. I’m gonna play it after The Witcher and Fallout 3, which means maybe in the first quarter of 2009 —I don’t think I’ll be finishing both in 45 days.
  • Fallout 2 and Earthworm Jim 1 + 2: I bought both from Good Old Games, a site I’m proud of supporting. Fallout 2 will be played after 3, and EWJ games for work breaks (yes I’m preparing from now hehe).
  • Mega Man 3: Bought from the Virtual Console. The only Mega Man game that stands in the face of MM2. Mesmerizing. Ok I’m gonna stop talking about Mega Man games.
  • Burn After Reading: Saw it yesterday at Avenues’ cinema. I’ll be getting the Blu-ray version whenever it hits the stores, so yeah, I loved it a lot. Sadly my friends hated it and started calling me SMB-related names the whole trip. Maybe because they suck at English and were focusing on the Arabic subtitle, which sucked big time. BAR isn’t a subtitle-friendly movie in my opinion, you either get the scene with the original, clever scenario, or you’ll see it as a “wtf” movie. Lol the ending got me cracking out loud and that’s something I don’t usually do in cinemas. Actually I never done it before! Good film.
  • Nawal 2009: Are you really waiting for me to talk about the album? seriously? 4 thumbs up —I counted my feet’s, sue me. My favorite track is Mishtag.
  • Britney Spears’ Circus: It leaked yesterday. There are 4 or 5 tracks I’m in love with right now, but as a whole, I think it’s missing a lot. Maybe I’ll change my mind later. Circus makes up for everything, though, and If U Seek Amy’s chorus is freaking hilarious.

It’s been a messy week so far, preparing my papers for work really sucks. I signed the contract three days ago, and after half an hour I’ll continue the 2nd part of the medical examination, so finally tomorrow I’ll go to the main building and sign the final version of the contract and be ready to work at any moment.

Regarding The Cult of Kefka, I know I haven’t updated the site since launch. I’m really sorry. There’s just isn’t time to do everything. Old school games are raping my mind continuously with their upbar difficulty, and since I have a policy for not reviewing games until I finish them, that means less reviews for everyone, but rest assured any review I write is an honest one since I devoted my organs to finish the game. Also, lately I’ve been playing lots of the newly released games (such as Fallout 3 and The Witcher, and Left 4 Dead demo), so there isn’t enough time to beat those classics. And don’t let me start talking about how preparing my self for work is stealing lots of my free time, which really sucks. I just wanna point out that the site is just a personal collectives of my thoughts, not an official site or anything, so it doesn’t matter after all, but I’m just saying so nobody wonders why.

Oh and, would you want me to review all kind of games in Cult of Kefka (not just classics) ? I’m not sure if it’s the right thing to do. Tell me your opinion on either Twitter or by emailing me.
